After many years of teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, I have found that the essential ingredient is to maintain motivation and enjoy the process of learning.

Why in a pleasant and fun way?

Because the most effective learning happens when you enjoy what you are doing so much that your attention is fully engaged, in learning Spanish.

I emphasize in communication and the practical uses of language. I think grammar is important, but that there is a bigger picture. I don't think Spanish should be learned only through mechanical exercises, but through students interacting and engaging during lessons.
